Cascade Meadow Speaker Series: Raising Backyard Chickens
Netta from Rochester Pet and Country store will talk about the simple steps of starting your own backyard flock of chickens. She will cover preparing a home for them, variety of species, chickens for egg production and chickens for meat production. Raising chickens can offer many rewards–wholesome, home-raised eggs, enjoying the beauty of wide ranges of poultry breeds and types, and the unique full personalities individual birds personify. If you’re ready to raise your own chickens, come hear her speak on Thursday, June 15th at 7 p.m. on the lower level of Cascade Meadow.
